Exotic dynamics and search

We study particles whose velocity need not be proportional to momentum and ask what can be gained by treating the dispersion relation itself as a design variable. The programme runs from boost-agnostic Hamiltonian and kinetic theory to hard-particle simulations, first-passage search in mazes and dispersion-engineered optimisation algorithms.

Research questions

What we are trying to understand

How do non-quadratic dispersions change equilibration, collisions and transport in an interacting gas?
Can changing only the free-particle dynamics improve exploration or first-passage performance after matching energy, speed and time scales?
Can dispersion engineering provide an optimisation control that cannot be reduced to standard particle-swarm parameters or coordinate redefinitions?

Why it matters

Impact and connections

This programme connects foundational mechanics without boost symmetry to reproducible numerical experiments and computational search. A successful result would turn microscopic dynamics into a controllable ingredient rather than a fixed background assumption.
